A project by Leigh Building Preservation Trust to rescue Grade II* listed cotton spinning mill.
The Mill is on the English Heritage At Risk Register. It is a rare example of a double mill built in two phases, the first of which was completed in 1913 and the second in 1925. It is still operated by Leigh Spinners - the family firm that built it.
Leigh Building Preservation Trust has been established to work in partnership with Leigh Spinners with the objective of rescuing the historic building and enabling the company to remain in production there and to introduce other uses that are of benefit to the local community.
This project is supported by The Prince's Regeneration Trust through the BRICK mentoring programme.
